Isn't it a shame that black culture threw away 100 years of musical heritage in favor of rhythmic talking?

Even if you like hip hop, you have to admit it's sht compared to jazz, blues, rock & roll, soul, funk and all of that. And now after 30 years of hip hop's totalitarian domination of black culture, it's all they've got. Whole generations of kids have grown up never listening to any real music, never playing any real instruments, without any skills or knowledge to create something fresh and interesting. All they can do is make fake beats on a computer and talk over them. Isn't it kind of sad?
