Do I have a mental problem?

Ever since I can remember, I've had nightmares. Not good dreams, not eerie dreams, full out blood curdling NIGHTMARES. Not once have I had a good dream always nightmares. When I explain my dreams to family they look at me strangely and say that they could make a horror movie out of my dreams. Is this normal? Is there something wrong with me? Thanks!
